New collection Egretta garzetta

I opened my front door and I was met by the thickest fog I’d seen in a long time. I headed for a local lake and wound down the window with the intention of using the car as a hide. I waited in the dark for the sun to rise. The sun rays finally began to filter through the treeline, thinning the mist a little, and the ducks which I could hear finally came into view, distant, perceptible dark lumps in the light background. Ducks, cormorants, an assortment of little birds, a couple of coypu and to my great surprise a group of egrets strutted about looking for breakfast. Although I’d gone to the lake on a whim, unsure of what I was looking for, I now knew why I had come. The magical light, the purity of the mist, egrets, reflections and the shimmering of the sun rays on the water were absolutely beautiful. Enjoy the images below and check out the collection here
